Job overview
American Ionics is hiring energetic, motivated canvassers to join our field team. You'll be the first face homeowners meet: introducing American Ionics door to door, answering questions, and scheduling in-home water reviews. This paid position comes with training, and it's a strong start for anyone building sales, marketing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Canvass assigned neighborhoods door to door, introducing American Ionics and our in-home water review
- Have friendly, conversational interactions with residents and answer questions about the program
- Schedule water reviews for interested homeowners
- Use a mobile device to record interactions, update contact information and track progress in real time
- Distribute informational materials during outreach
- Work with your team to plan outreach, share feedback and improve results
- Follow our door standards: introduce yourself by name and company, and represent American Ionics professionally on every visit
Requirements
- Field sales or canvassing experience is preferred but not required; training is provided
- Strong communication skills and confidence in face-to-face conversations
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- Comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Customer service experience that shows patience, professionalism and active listening
- Experience with outdoor work, community engagement or door-to-door campaigns is a plus
- A reliable mobile device for data entry and communication in the field
